The CPRT London Teachers Reading Group has now held its first meeting. It brings together teachers to discuss CPRT and other research publications, and examine their implications for the classroom. The first reading group meeting was on 11th September; the next is on Thursday 13th November from 4:30pm until 6:15pm. Meetings are held at the Open University, Camden and drinks and snacks are provided. In September, the discussion focused on the new CPRT Research Update on children’s voices by Carol Robinson of the University of Brighton. It will be published later this term, as will Wynne Harlen’s Research Update on assessment and the quality of learning, which the London group as a whole considered at its meeting on 22nd October. Earlier versions of these two papers contributed to the research survey strand of the Cambridge Primary Review.
Details of these two papers are here.
