Assessment without Levels: A CPRT Schools Alliance Perspective

Wednesday 21 January

Open University, Camden

Event Details

In the ever changing education landscape in England’s primary schools the current situation with assessment is top of the agenda for many senior leaders. In this session, Iain Erskine (principal) and Ben Erskine (vice-principal) of Fulbridge Academy, Peterborough (a member of CPRT’s Schools Alliance), will outline how they have moved forward and are implementing a broad and practical approach to assessment without levels, which incorporates both ongoing assessment for learning as well as tracking pupil progress over time.

Iain and Ben will also touch on how the evidence from the original Cambridge Primary Review final report has influenced the development of their approach. Following this presentation there will be time for all present to discuss the current situation and share their experiences about assessing without levels.

If you would like to attend please contact Greg Frame, and do bring a friend if you wish. All are welcome. We expect this will be a popular session, and will attract head teachers and senior leaders concerned to support staff on this issue, so book your place now. It will run from 4:15pm-6:15pm.
